Declutter Your Soul

No one knows what you have seen, where you have been. No one knows what gets you going or what stops you from taking another step, frozen in place, motionless. No one knows but me. I know and I care, and I hold your secrets close.

Bring them out of the darkness where they hide, my dear one. Bring them into the sunlight lest they wither, meld with the floor, and forever tug at you. Bring them into the light lest they overwhelm you with an endless stream of “What ifs. What if I had . . . ? What if I had only . . . ?

Yes, let’s declutter your soul. Look at the secrets long forgotten and sort them out. Choose what to keep and choose what to toss. Let it be by your decision and not by default. Be swift and decisive. Choose, my child.

No one else knows what loose ends are in you, and even you have forgotten many of them. But I know. I care, and I will patiently sit with you. Let’s talk it through as you sort them out. It is time to declutter your soul and make room for today. Make room for life and for love.

  1. Cathay, this is profound for me this morning. I believe Not only my soul, but my head always seems to be swarming in so much clutter, and dust, that at times that is all I see upon awakening, and at night as I try to rest myself.
    ❤️??

    • I hear you. That clutter can sure rob us of our rest and our peace. I’ve been practicing meditation and every now and then I get to where the background noise does get silenced. It’s a beautiful space and my goal is to live in it.
