After a 9.5 mile hike in the sun with little shade, I get to Belorado and take a private room at a Casa Rural. When I can finally handle walking again, I go to the town square and here comes John and Vicky, the couple from Ireland who I’d met in Los Arcos. I’m thrilled. Meeting people is such a large part of the charm of the Camino. They join me in concern for my feet. John says I should just skip the rest of the Camino and take a bus to the end – beyond Santiago to Finesterre. That’s on the coast and it has beautiful hotels. Great views.  I give it some serious thought. It’s tempting, but I’m not quite ready to quit.
