Why I Like Vision Boards
This week I was listening to one of my favorite podcasts: The School of Greatness with Lewis Howe. I always feel uplifted and encouraged when I listen to him and his guests. And, quite often, what I hear is quite timely. Like this week. Lewis said:
“If you don’t decide who you want to become, the world will decide for you. And when you don’t have a clear vision, you just start to go around life drifting. You say yes to all the things that you don’t align to. You follow paths that don’t fulfill you. You become a character in someone else’s story instead of the author of your own.”
That articulates my interest and passion for vision boards. As Lewis said, you need to have a clear vision for your own life. I’ve spoken with many people who don’t. It’s easy to say to them, “you need to find your passion, your purpose.” But it’s not so easy for them to do that. I know. That’s why I like vision board workshops. In a skillfully facilitated session, designed with plenty of opportunities for reflection, you can move toward finding those answers. The workshop provides a framework to actively dive into your life and excavate hope and more clarity about yourself. It’s better than just me talking at you.
It’s fun to cut out pictures and put them on the boards, but that’s not where the magic lies. It’s in the discovery behind the pictures and the intention attached to them. Heck—it’s more than magic, it’s findings backed by neuroscience study. It’s the way our brains, our souls, our lives, work.
Guess I better go schedule a few more workshops. If you’re interested, let me know. Send me a message on the contact page of my website.

P.S. If you are clear on your passion and your purpose, I’d love to know about that too. Message me and share it so I can rejoice with you!
