Can’t Quit Now
I must say, . . . it’s been a tough week. My beautiful green back yard is not beautiful and green. It’s green and yellow and brown. You may recall we reseeded it a few months ago and I was excited in anticipation of a beautiful lawn. It hasn’t worked out that way, for a variety of reasons. I’ve been rather depressed about it. Nevertheless, I am holding on to my vision of a beautiful green lawn. We’ll keep at it—watering, and weeding, and fertilizing, and we’ll get there.
I can’t help but think that this is a lesson to not let go of dreams. Keep at it. We may have setbacks, but it’s not the end of the matter. We do well to just keep moving forward, . . . keeping walking, if you will, . . . and know it’s okay and we will achieve. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. In my mind I look out and see a beautiful, lush green yard.
